Job Description

A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist position is available at a school setting in Andover, MA for the 2025/2026 school year. This contract role offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM. The caseload includes students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing services to a diverse age range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct orientation and mobility assessments and interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to improve students safe navigation skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services delivered
  • Provide direct services exclusively onsite to K-12 students with visual impairments or other mobility needs

Qualifications:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility (O&M) license in Massachusetts is required
  • Experience working with a K-12 student caseload
  • Ability to work onsite full-time within the specified hours
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills tailored to school environments
