Job Description:
An opportunity is available for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist
supporting students across multiple school sites in Georgia. This
contract role for the 20262027 school year involves working with a K12
caseload, providing specialized services to support students with visual
impairments in safely navigating their environments. This position is ideal for
a skilled and independent professional seeking a flexible, low-hour assignment
while making a meaningful impact on student independence and mobility.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Orientation and Mobility (O&M) certification/license
- Experience working with K12 students with visual impairments preferred
- Strong ability to work independently across multiple school sites
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with school teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide orientation and mobility assessments and services to students across assigned schools
- Develop and implement individualized mobility plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Travel between school sites to deliver services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
