Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Texas license as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
• Previous experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Strong case management and documentation abilities
• Comfortable delivering both direct and indirect student services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized instructional plans and adapt to diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized orientation and mobility instruction to students as outlined in IEPs
• Deliver both direct and indirect services for approximately 2 hours per week
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
• Track and document student progress, evaluating outcomes and making instructional adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student access across school environments
• Consult with teachers, families, and staff to ensure consistent student support
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development as necessary
