This full-time, contract opportunity involves supporting multiple districts in Greene and Washington Counties, allowing you to deliver essential skills and foster independence for students who are visually impaired. Key Qualifications:

• Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) license required
• Experience with K-12 caseloads, ideally across multiple sites or districts
• Proven ability to travel between various school locations as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse student needs and educational teams
• Familiarity with assessment tools, goal-setting, and individualized instruction for students with visual impairments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students orientation and mobility needs
• Create and implement individualized O&M instruction plans
• Work collaboratively with educators, related service providers, and families to support student progress
• Deliver direct instruction to students in navigating school and community environments safely and confidently
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all students
• Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for best practices in O&M
• Travel between school sites within Greene and Washington Counties as part of your weekly schedule
