This opportunity seeks an experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) to provide specialized services in a school setting. The position is onsite in Clarkston, MI, offering a contract role with a 35-hour workweek primarily supporting Early Childhood (EC) programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver orientation and mobility instruction tailored to students in EC programs.
• Assess and develop individualized plans to enhance students independence and navigation skills.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies, including fingerprinting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Orientation and Mobility license is required.
• Professional experience as a school-based Orientation and Mobility Specialist.
• Ability to work onsite full-time and manage a caseload focused on EC programs.
• Completion of district fingerprinting for background clearance.
