Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) School-Based Opportunity | Sunbelt Staffing
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) for a school-based opportunity near the Groveport area of Ohio. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about helping students with visual impairments develop safe travel skills, independence, and confidence within school and community environments.
Position Details:
- Full-time, school-based assignment
- Provide direct orientation and mobility instruction to students
- Conduct mobility assessments and develop individualized goals
- Support students in navigating school, home, and community settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting
Qualifications:
- Active Orientation & Mobility Specialist certification
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Orientation & Mobility, Visual Impairments, or related field
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive mobility techniques
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
