Make a meaningful impact supporting students independence as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist on a contract basis in a school setting near Buna, TX. This rewarding opportunity allows you to work directly with students who are blind or visually impaired, delivering essential guidance and skill-building to foster self-confidence and safety.

Your responsibilities will focus on providing high-quality orientation and mobility services for a small caseload:

• Deliver 60 minutes of instruction every 9 weeks for one student.
• Provide 30-minute sessions, 8 times per 9-week period, for another student.
• Create individualized lesson plans and document progress.
• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure consistency across school settings.
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support each students goals.

Candidates should possess:

• Current Orientation and Mobility Specialist license.
• Authorization to work as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Texas schools.
• Experience working with school-age children is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
