Make an impact in the lives of K-12 students by using your expertise as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in a supportive educational environment. This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, and is designed for travel professionals seeking on-site opportunities near Apopka, FL. What were looking for:
- National Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Licensure (physical copy required)
- Vision certification for Orientation and Mobility services
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students in a school or similar educational setting
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Current drivers license and social security card
- Ability to complete fingerprinting through Field Print and fulfill all credentialing paperwork (including I-9, demographic form, and Contracted Services Form 1403)
- Adaptability and professionalism in diverse campus settings
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct orientation and mobility services to a K-12 caseload
- Focusing on compensatory therapy and occasionally conducting student evaluations
- Collaborating with school staff and families to ensure student progress and safety
- Maintaining accurate documentation of sessions and progress
- Traveling between assigned schools in the Oviedo/Sanford areas as needed
