Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized and group music therapy sessions tailored to a diverse student population
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support students IEP or personal developmental goals
  • Assessing student needs, developing relevant treatment plans, and documenting progress
  • Participating in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and consultative services
  • Maintaining ethical and professional standards in all therapy sessions
  • Creating an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages student participation and growth

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Current board certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC)
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or youth-focused setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic methods to support a range of ages and abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, positive attitude
