Job Description

Enhance the lives of students as a Music Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Lewisville, TX. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work across all age groups for a 12-week assignment, from August 2026 to November 2026. Your expertise will foster creativity and support emotional, cognitive, and social growth for students through the power of music.

Qualifications:

  • Current national certification as a Music Therapist (required)
  • Experience working with children and teens in educational or therapeutic settings preferred
  • Ability to adapt sessions to meet the needs of diverse age groups and abilities
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized and group music therapy sessions for students of varying ages and special needs
  • Collaborate with educational staff, counselors, and families to integrate therapy goals into students educational plans
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to optimize student support
  • Create a safe, encouraging space where students can explore music-based interventions for self-expression and growth
