Job Description

Bring your passion for music and therapy together in a rewarding contract opportunity! A skilled Music Therapist is needed for a 12-week assignment supporting students across all age groups. You'll work in a dynamic school environment near Fort Worth, TX, with flexibility for either full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time hours to suit your schedule. This contract position starts in August and wraps up in November, allowing you to make a meaningful impact throughout the fall semester.

What You Bring:

  • Current board certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) or equivalent credentials
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or therapeutic settings
  • Strong musical proficiency across a range of instruments and genres
  • Compassion, creativity, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans
  • Flexibility to work with diverse age groups and adapt interventions as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide music therapy services to students with varying needs and backgrounds
  • Design and deliver sessions that foster social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to integrate therapy within educational programs
  • Track progress, document session outcomes, and adjust plans as required
  • Participate in IEP meetings or multidisciplinary team discussions when requested
  • Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic space
