A 12-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled music therapist eager to support learners of all ages in a school-based setting. Working a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week from August through November, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and utilize your expertise to support students emotional, social, and academic wellbeing.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid music therapist credentials according to state and national standards
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in school or clinical settings
  • Proficiency in adapting music-based interventions to diverse learning needs and age groups
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff
  • Creativity, empathy, and a passionate approach to therapeutic practices

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement goal-oriented music therapy sessions tailored for students across grade levels
  • Assess students needs in partnership with educational teams, contributing to individualized education plans when applicable
  • Facilitate both small group and individual interventions to foster social engagement, emotional regulation, and academic success
  • Collect and report data on student progress and participate in school meetings as a valued member of student support services
  • Provide consultative support and resources to teachers and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic strategies
