Job Description

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available to provide dedicated healthcare support within a high school setting in Worcester, MA. This contract role is for the current school year, starting immediately and ending June 30, 2026. The position requires 32.5 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:05 PM, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and managing a male high school students health, particularly focusing on Diabetes Insipidus. The candidate must ensure strict adherence to fluid intake and bathroom schedules, recognize signs and symptoms of dehydration, and identify elevated sodium levels. Close, attentive care is essential to support the students wellbeing effectively.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Active Massachusetts LPN licensure
  • Previous school-based nursing experience
  • Skilled knowledge of Diabetes Insipidus management
  • Ability to accurately monitor fluid intake and bathroom breaks
  • Competence in identifying dehydration and sodium imbalance symptoms
  • Completion of CORI and fingerprinting requirements

This onsite position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within an educational environment. A Zoom interview will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
