This contract position is an excellent opportunity for an LPN passionate about one-on-one care within a school setting. Located near Tacoma, WA, this full-time onsite role focuses on working closely with a single student with unique medical needsincluding seizure management, thermodysregulation, and high activity levels. The role is especially suited for candidates comfortable working as a male caregiver, fostering trust and comfort for the student.
Key Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in Washington State
- Prior experience supporting children or adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Confidence and skill in responding to seizures and managing thermodysregulation
- Strong, calm presence suited for high-energy situations
- Ability to provide care during school hours and accompany the student on transportation as needed
- Professionalism, flexibility, and reliability
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 medical support to the assigned student throughout the school day
- Monitor and respond to health needs, including seizure response and temperature regulation
- Support the students participation in classroom and school activities by encouraging safety and independence
- Maintain precise medical documentation and communication with teachers, staff, and parents
- Support the student during school transportation times, ensuring safety and continuity of care
