Job Description
A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Stafford, VA, supporting students with complex medical needs. This position is designed for the current school year with the potential for renewal in the following year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care in a medical room, including observing and intervening for students with complex medical histories.
- Assist with tube feedings and manage common seizures, including those requiring intervention through Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS).
- Support students with activities of daily living and attend to overall medical and safety needs.
- Monitor other students' health as needed when assigned student is not present.
- Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current LPN/LVN licensure.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children.
- Ability to provide care for complex medical conditions, including seizure management and tube feedings.
- Strong observation and intervention skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently within a school setting.

Employment Type:
- Full-time contract position, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
