Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active LPN or LVN license in Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience working as an LPN in schools, clinics, or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to support healthcare needs and promote a safe environment for students with varying medical complexities
- Comfortable performing basic nursing procedures, first aid, medication administration, and supporting IEPs or 504 plans
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Multitasking abilities and adaptability to changing school-day situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care for students, including medication management and daily health monitoring
- Assist with chronic condition management, emergency response, and care coordination with school staff
- Support students with physical, behavioral, or developmental challenges in the classroom and throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educators and families to ensure individualized support and adherence to care plans
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state guidelines
