Step into a rewarding contract position as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting school health services. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for dedicated LPNs with diverse skills and experience in both general school health room settings and individualized student care. Multiple openings are available, offering flexibility and the chance to work with a committed educational team.
In this float role, youll serve across the health room while providing 1:1 support to a student, potentially assisting with trach care. Experienced LPNs who have worked with pediatric populations in either school or clinical settings will thrive here. What youll need:
- Active WA LPN license
- Experience with tracheostomy care and/or one-on-one pediatric nursing
- Previous exposure to health room or clinical pediatric environments
- Strong adaptability for float assignments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing medical support in the schools health room
- Delivering 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex health needs, including trach support as required
- Administering medications and basic first aid
- Keeping accurate health records and documentation
- Coordinating with school staff, students, and families
- Helping with health plans and participating in care team meetings
