Job Description

Bring your clinical expertise to a vibrant educational environment as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting intensive needs classrooms. In this contract role near Seattle, you'll make a meaningful difference working with a single student in a 1:1 instructional para capacity. Youll collaborate with a dedicated team of school professionals, providing both direct care and classroom support, within a full-time weekday schedule.

The role primarily includes working closely with a student who requires dedicated clinical and educational assistance. Flexibility is key; you'll also have the opportunity to give needed breaks to colleagues and serve as a substitute LPN within the building when the need arises.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Washington State
  • Experience or strong interest in working with children, ideally in a school or pediatric setting
  • Ability to adapt to varying clinical and classroom situations
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support as an instructional para in intensive needs classrooms
  • Deliver routine nursing care, medical interventions, and health monitoring
  • Step in as a substitute LPN as needed within the school building
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure a supportive learning environment
  • Maintain thorough documentation of nursing services and adhere to health protocols
