A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide essential health room coverage in a K-12 school setting. This role supports the well-being of students by delivering basic nursing care and health services tailored to a school environment. The position is a contract assignment spanning the current school year, beginning as soon as possible and concluding May 28th.
Location: Sanford, FL (District-Wide)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver health room coverage and nursing services to students across various school sites.
- Monitor student health and respond promptly to medical needs, including administering medication and first aid.
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers as needed.
- Assist in managing chronic health conditions and wellness programs within the school community.
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid LPN/LVN licensure.
- Experience working in educational settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric health concerns and emergency response.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and school personnel.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in maintaining confidential health records.
