Job Description

A contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available to support an elementary school student in a K-12 educational setting near Brunswick, GA. This opportunity begins immediately and extends through May 22, 2026, providing continuous care during the school year.

The role involves closely monitoring and managing complex medical needs, including G-tube feedings, seizure disorder with recurrent seizure history, quadriplegia affecting motor functions, and strict NPO (nothing by mouth) status. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the students health, safety, and well-being while enabling their full participation in educational activities.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Valid LPN/LVN licensure with current credentials
  • Experience in pediatric nursing or working with children with complex medical conditions
  • Proficiency in managing feeding tubes, seizure care, and mobility challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff, healthcare providers, and family members
  • Strong observational and documentation skills for medical protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medical care and interventions according to established guidelines
  • Monitor and respond promptly to medical emergencies or changes in condition
