A Health Room Nurse role is available in a school setting in Saint Petersburg, FL, offering an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or RN ASN to utilize their clinical skills in pediatric care and student health management. This contract position involves direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the school health clinic within the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and providing first aid to students
• Student triage and responding to emergencies promptly and effectively
• Maintaining accurate immunization records and health documentation
• Monitoring diabetic students and managing related care plans
• Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other school staff regarding student health concerns
• Working alongside other clinic nurses to ensure cohesive care delivery
• Operating the school health clinic independently, under the supervision of the District RN Supervisor

Qualifications and experience sought:

• Current Florida LPN License or RN ASN credential
• Pediatric nursing experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work full-time hours in a dynamic school environment
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and school personnel
