Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license, valid in Minnesota
- Prior experience working in a school setting or with pediatric patients preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to respond calmly to health concerns and emergencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Adaptability, dependability, and a positive, professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, chronic condition management, and emergency response
- Monitor and document student health status, maintaining accurate health records in compliance with state and district policies
- Serve as a liaison between students, families, school staff, and external healthcare providers
- Support school wellness initiatives through education and outreach
- Maintain a clean, organized, and confidential health office environment
- Participate in health screenings, staff training, and meetings as required
