An opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in school health settings, supporting K-12 students in the Robbinsdale area near New Hope, MN. This full-time, contract role requires an LPN who can flexibly serve as a district float nurse, adapting to the varied needs of different schools each day. The position starts ASAP and extends through June 2, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health assessments to K-12 students across multiple schools within the district
- Manage daily health screenings, administer medications as needed, and respond to student health emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student health plans and promote wellness
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district and state health policies
- Serve as the floating LPN, adjusting to different school environments and schedules on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- Active LPN/LVN licensure required prior to job start
- Previous school nursing experience preferred; new graduates are not being considered
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of school-based healthcare practices and regulatory requirements
