Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) School Health Services
Location: Saint Johns, FL (Duval County Public Schools District - Jacksonville Area)
Assignment: Part-time PRN with potential for Full-time
Duration: January 5, 2026 May 28, 2026 (Contract School Year)
Work Setting: On-site in K-12 schools (Elementary, Middle, or High School)

This role provides an opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to deliver essential health services to students in a K-12 school environment. You will support student health needs in the school health room and assist in managing various medical situations throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily nursing care and support to students in the health room
  • Respond to student health concerns and emergencies as they arise
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Maintain confidential student health records and documentation
  • Collaborate with school staff and families regarding student health plans
  • Participate in required orientation and training sessions prior to assignment

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous school-based nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work part-time with flexibility; potential for full-time hours depending on district needs
