Job Description
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide 1:1 nursing care for a student at an elementary school setting. This contract position offers a continuous school year duration in Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized nursing care to a student requiring one-on-one support during the school day
- Monitor the student's health, manage medications, and address medical needs promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure the students well-being and safety
- Maintain detailed records of health status, treatments, and any incidents
- Follow established healthcare protocols and emergency procedures within the school environment
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid LPN or LVN license
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive care to children
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
- Knowledge of managing medical equipment and medication administration in a school setting
