Job Description
Step into an impactful contract role supporting student health and well-being for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity involves providing quality nursing care within an elementary school setting, working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The assignment runs from August 6th, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, with a structured weekly schedule that includes minimum days every Monday. Youll collaborate with educators and families to ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license (California)
- Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or a related environment preferred
- Solid understanding of care protocols and medication administration in a school setting
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in urgent or emergency health situations
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to medical ethics
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, student-centered nursing services during school hours
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, medication schedules, and medical emergencies
- Document care provided and coordinate necessary follow-up with school staff and families
- Participate in the development of health care plans for students with special needs
- Support health education and wellness initiatives campus-wide
- Uphold a safe and healthy environment in compliance with district and state guidelines
Scheduling Details:
- Monday: 9:20 AM12:50 PM (minimum day)
- TuesdayFriday: 9:20 AM3:35 PM
