Job Description

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is needed to provide nursing care in an elementary school setting, supporting the health and well-being of students throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid and manage minor illnesses or injuries in the school clinic
  • Monitor health records and immunization compliance for students
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions
  • Provide health education and support to students, parents, and staff
  • Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations and school district policies
  • Maintain confidential health records and document nursing activities accurately

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and license in California
  • Experience working with children in a healthcare, school, or community setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple health concerns and emergencies calmly and efficiently
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing and child development is desirable
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain
