Provide skilled nursing care as a Health Room Nurse in a school setting located in Riverview, FL, serving the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This contract position involves managing the school health clinic independently while collaborating closely with other clinic nurses and school staff to ensure student health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and perform diabetic monitoring for students
- Conduct student triage and respond to emergencies promptly
- Maintain accurate immunization records and other health documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals
- Provide first aid and other health services as needed
- Report to the District RN Supervisor and support team nursing efforts within the clinic
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida LPN license or RN ASN degree
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
