Job Description

An opportunity is available for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a K-12 school setting located in Renton, WA. This role offers a flexible schedule working 2 to 3 days per week as a float nurse, supporting a variety of health needs including potential tracheostomy care. Ideal candidates will be experienced, adaptable, and comfortable delivering comprehensive nursing care across multiple grade levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing nursing care to students across K-12 grade levels
  • Managing complex medical needs, including trach care when required
  • Collaborating with school staff to ensure student wellbeing and safety
  • Supporting before- and after-school health programs as optional opportunities to increase hours
  • Maintaining accurate health records and complying with district policies

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Valid LPN license in the state of Washington
  • Experience working in school or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfort with varied clinical responsibilities in a dynamic school environment

Location and schedule:

  • Position based in Renton, WA, serving nearby communities such as Lakewood, Tumwater, and Tacoma
  • Part-time, float position for 2 to 3 days per week with variable hours
  • Contract role through the end of the school year, with an immediate start preferred
