Job Description

A contracted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity is available in the Renton, WA area supporting elementary school students. This position involves providing 1:1 nursing care to a trach-dependent student in an elementary school setting. The role is ideal for LPNs with trach and ventilator experience who hold Washington state LPN certification and seek meaningful work within a special services program.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday: 10:30 AM 4:00 PM
  • Tuesday through Friday: 9:30 AM 4:00 PM
  • Total weekly hours: 29 paid hours
  • School locations: Sumner, Tacoma, and Graham, WA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to support the health and safety of a trach-dependent elementary student
  • Manage trach and ventilator care according to established protocols
  • Collaborate closely with school staff and special services teams to ensure seamless, comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation and records
  • Respond promptly to any medical needs or emergencies during school hours

Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State LPN license
  • Demonstrated experience with trach and ventilator management
  • Prior experience working in school or pediatric nursing settings preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and education teams
