Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide dedicated healthcare support within a K-12 school setting located in Princess Anne, MD. This full-time, contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to deliver hands-on nursing care and support to medically complex students, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one nursing care for a medically complex student, including medication administration, monitoring health status, and emergency response.
  • Support additional students with healthcare needs when the primary student is not in attendance.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to implement individualized health plans.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and school policies.
  • Respond immediately to health emergencies and provide CPR and first aid as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations is highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple healthcare needs simultaneously.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • Contract position for the current school year (CSY).
