A healthcare professional with expertise in pediatric nursing is needed to provide specialized support at an early childhood school setting in Pontiac, MI. This contract position offers leave coverage for targeted dates from February through May, with half-day shifts in the mornings. The role is ideal for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurses (RN) with school experience seeking to work in a child-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a young child attending preschool and childcare.
- Perform G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care in accordance with medical protocols.
- Provide assistance in toileting as needed, with potential for minimal toileting support.
- Maintain compliance with district and regulatory requirements, including obtaining a district badge and completing onsite fingerprinting.
- Adhere to scheduled hours from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on specified dates in February, March, April, and May.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN or RN certification/licensure.
- Experience providing nursing care within a school or early childhood education setting.
- Proficiency with advanced pediatric medical procedures, specifically G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff and families.
- Compliance with all health and safety protocols.
