Job Description

A K-12 school in Palm Springs, CA is seeking two Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for long-term substitute positions within the Coachella Valley Unified School District. These contract roles offer a consistent schedule of 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, supporting students across multiple school sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing skilled nursing care such as administering medications, managing G-tubes and tracheostomies, transferring students safely, and assisting with toileting and diapering when necessary
  • Supporting students with diverse medical needs in a school environment
  • Adapting to working in various school locations within the district throughout the assignment
  • Maintaining active CPR certification and adhering to COVID-19 vaccination requirements

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Valid California LPN/LVN license
  • Previous experience working in California school settings or with pediatric school nursing preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills highly desirable to assist communication with students and families
  • Comfort and flexibility in traveling to and working at multiple school sites as needed
