A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available to provide dedicated 1:1 support in a school setting located in Palm Desert, CA. This contract role requires specialized skills in tracheostomy care and assisting with transportation (bus support).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized health care and nursing support in a school environment
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to students requiring extra medical attention
- Perform tracheostomy care, monitoring, and emergency response as needed
- Assist with student transportation support during bus rides
- Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure student well-being
- Maintain accurate health and nursing documentation per school policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in California
- Experience providing nursing care in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Proficiency in tracheostomy and respiratory care
- Ability to manage one-on-one support with students who require medical assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and student-focused mindset
