Step into a dynamic school-based setting and make a meaningful impact as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) supporting student health and well-being. In this contract position, you'll be an essential resource for students and staff, promoting a safe and caring environment each day.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active LPN or LVN license in the state of Florida
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with student health plans, medication administration, and emergency protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to students according to individualized care plans
- Monitor and document student health conditions, administer medications as prescribed, and respond promptly to health emergencies
- Assist with screenings, immunization records, and required documentation, maintaining complete and confidential health records
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, staff, and parents to support the health and safety of all students
- Educate students and staff on best practices for hygiene, chronic condition management, and injury prevention
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure clinic area is organized and fully stocked
