Key Qualifications: Valid LPN or LVN license in the state of Florida. Experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly desirable. Strong clinical skills, including administering medications, managing treatments, and responding to minor injuries or medical needs. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of care. Flexibility and adaptability to serve students of varying ages and backgrounds.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide daily nursing care and health assessments for students. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician instructions and school protocols. Document care provided and maintain thorough health records for students. Respond to emergent medical situations, delivering first aid or CPR as needed. Educate students and staff on basic health habits, hygiene, and chronic condition management. Partner with school counselors, administrators, and parents to promote a safe and healthy campus environment. Monitor immunization compliance and assist with health screenings as requested.
