Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medically Fragile Classroom
Location: Olathe, KS
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support students in a medically fragile middle school classroom in Olathe, Kansas. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working with children and providing hands-on nursing care in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and medical support to students in a medically fragile classroom
- Assist with G-tube feeding and care
- Provide bottle feeding as needed
- Assist students with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Provide toileting and personal care assistance
- Monitor student health and respond appropriately to medical needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized healthcare plans
- Collaborate with school staff and other members of the student support team
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications
- Active Kansas LPN license required
- Previous pediatric, school nursing, medically fragile, or special education experience preferred
- Experience with G-tubes, feeding, toileting, and ADL assistance preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working with medically complex students
