Job Description
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed in the Norfolk, VA area to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract position is available as soon as possible and will continue through the remainder of the school year, with potential for renewal. Candidates open to full-time or part-time hours will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to students, including medication administration and health assessments
- Support students with health plans and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student well-being
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe and healthy learning environment for all students
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN license for the state of Virginia
- Experience working in a school or pediatric nursing setting preferred
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of state and federal health regulations related to school nursing
