Job Description

A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide dedicated health support to an 8th-grade student with complex medical and emotional needs. This role requires onsite presence at a middle school setting and is offered as a full-semester contract from January to June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care focused on managing a complex eating disorder and emotional health challenges.
  • Monitor and support the students health throughout the school day, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate as part of an LVN pool to provide coverage for other students if urgent needs arise or absences occur.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active California LVN license is required.
  • Experience working in mental health or with emotional disorders is highly recommended.
  • Preference given to male candidates to best match the students needs.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based onsite at a middle school located in Nipomo, CA.
  • Work schedule of 32.5 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Contract duration from January 13, 2026, through June 9, 2026.
