Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide healthcare support within a K-12 school setting in the Norfolk, VA area. This contract position offers an opportunity to work full time or part time, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the remainder of the school year, with potential to renew.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering skilled nursing care to students in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by a healthcare provider
  • Monitoring students health conditions and documenting changes or concerns
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student well-being
  • Responding to medical emergencies promptly and effectively
  • Maintaining accurate health records and ensuring confidentiality

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license valid in Virginia
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school or similar environments preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Commitment to supporting the health and safety of school children
