Job Description

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available to provide essential healthcare support within a K-12 school setting. This contract role is based in Newark, MD, and involves working Monday through Friday during the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to a medically complex student on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist with additional students as needed when the primary student is not in attendance
  • Administer medications, monitor health status, and respond to medical emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and well-being

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland LPN license is required
  • CPR certification is mandatory
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
  • Ability to manage complex medical needs with attention to detail and compassion
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an educational environment

Location: Newark, Maryland
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Duration: Contract for the current school year
