Job Description

This role provides essential healthcare support within a school setting in New Port Richey, FL, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or ASN Registered Nurse (RN). The position involves managing the school health clinic, delivering direct care to students, and collaborating closely with district nursing leadership and fellow clinic nurses to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and monitor diabetic students.
  • Perform student triage and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records, including immunization documentation.
  • Provide first aid and other nursing care as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Operate the health clinic independently while working within a team structure.
  • Report to the District RN Supervisor to ensure compliance with health policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida LPN License or ASN RN credential.
  • Pediatric nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work full-time hours within the school year.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
