An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support students and families either onsite or virtually near Minneapolis, MN. This role is perfect for a nursing professional passionate about enhancing student health and well-being during the summer months.
Youll be engaged for a flexible schedule from June 1 through September 1, working between 510 hours per week, with both full and part-time possibilities. Your expertise will make a significant impact by handling referrals and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Department of Education School Nurse License
- LPN/LVN certification or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in school settings
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions with families and staff
- Ability to support students across various grade levels, working with multiple schools as needed
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled in documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and follow up on student health referrals from teachers or school administrators
- Serve as the primary contact for parents/guardians concerning student health and wellness
- Maintain accurate health records according to district and state policies
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely care and interventions
- Provide nursing services specific to the needs of the school community, either virtually or onsite
