Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support students and families either onsite or virtually near Minneapolis, MN. Youll be engaged for a flexible schedule from June 1 through September 1, working between 510 hours per week, with both full and part-time possibilities. Your expertise will make a significant impact by handling referrals and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Department of Education School Nurse License
  • LPN/LVN certification or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in school settings
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with families and staff
  • Ability to support students across various grade levels, working with multiple schools as needed
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled in documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow up on student health referrals from teachers or school administrators
  • Serve as the primary contact for parents/guardians concerning student health and wellness
  • Maintain accurate health records according to district and state policies
  • Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely care and interventions
  • Provide nursing services specific to the needs of the school community, either virtually or onsite
