Step into an impactful role supporting students as a contract classroom nurse within a welcoming school community near Lynn, MA. This opportunity is ideal for a caring LPN or ASN nurse with experience in school environments, seeking part-time morning hours and a chance to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
The schedule for this position focuses on consistent weekday mornings, providing coverage from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, through June 23. Following a short break, you'll have the chance to continue with summer session support from July 6 to August 6, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Your expertise will primarily benefit one student in the classroom environment, who has a trach that requires monitoring but does not currently need active interventions.
Qualifications:
- Active MA LPN or RN ASN license required
- Experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting highly preferred
- Skilled in the care and monitoring of students with tracheostomies
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability to work in a classroom setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care for a student with a trach, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the school day
- Collaborate closely with educators and parents to maintain consistent care
- Respond promptly and calmly to any student health needs as they arise
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in alignment with school protocols
