Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license in California
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar environment is highly valued
- Capable of responding quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Strong organizational and charting skills for managing student health records
- Excellent interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff
- CPR and First Aid certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and administer prescribed medications to students
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions and acute illnesses or injuries
- Support health education and disease prevention activities on campus
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school district and state regulations
- Serve as a resource for health-related updates and offer appropriate referrals when necessary
