A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available at an elementary school in Locust Grove, VA, for the current school year with the possibility of renewal for the next year. This role is contract-based and provides essential medical support to students with complex healthcare needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care in a medical room, primarily focused on supporting a student with a complex medical history.
• Monitor and intervene as necessary for medical needs, including tube feedings and seizure management, specifically for seizures requiring intervention via Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS).
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure the safety and wellbeing of multiple students throughout the school day.
• Collaborate closely with school staff to respond promptly to medical and safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid LPN/LVN license.
• Experience working with pediatric patients in a school or clinical setting.
• Proficiency in managing complex medical conditions, including seizure intervention and tube feeding.
• Ability to observe and respond to medical needs promptly and effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an educational environment.

Schedule & Location:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Located in Locust Grove, VA, at an elementary school.
• Contract position.
