As an on-site LPN, you will provide one-on-one nursing services to an 18-year-old student with autism and seizures who also requires feeding tube support. You will work full-time during school hours on one assigned campus, ensuring consistency and continuity for the student you serve. The position starts as soon as possible and continues through the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania LPN license
- Previous experience in school or pediatric nursing strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform 1:1 medical support, including seizure management and feeding tube care
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Team player eager to collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to your assigned student throughout the school day
- Monitor and respond appropriately to medical needs, including seizures and feeding tube maintenance
- Administer medications and maintain detailed health records
- Assist with transitions and mobility as needed
- Communicate proactively with families, educators, and health staff to ensure comprehensive care
