A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to support the health and well-being of students and staff within a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing services in an educational environment, promoting a safe and healthy atmosphere for learning.

Location: Lees Summit, MO
Job Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Setting: K-12 School

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care including administering medications, monitoring student health, and managing chronic conditions.
• Conduct health assessments and provide first aid and emergency care when necessary.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student health and well-being.
• Assist with health education and promote healthy practices among students.
• Respond to health emergencies promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Missouri.
• Experience working with children in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of child development and common pediatric health issues is an asset.
