A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is available in a school setting in Lebanon, NH, offering an opportunity to provide specialized care for a student with complex medical needs. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (June 11, 2026), with a strong possibility of renewal for the next school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care and personal assistance to a 13-year-old student diagnosed with Vanishing White Motor Disease
- Support the students activities of daily living (ADLs), including safe mobility, toileting assistance, and feeding supervision
- Monitor the students condition closely while facilitating accessibility and safety within the school environment
- Collaborate effectively with the school nurse (RN) and other staff to ensure coordinated care throughout the school day (8:00 am to 3:00 pm)
- Utilize and operate medical equipment as needed, including manual and power wheelchairs and toileting support systems
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Hampshire
- Pediatric nursing experience is highly preferred, especially working with students requiring daily medical assistance
- Strong observational skills and the ability to respond promptly to changing health needs
- Ability to work independently within a school environment and communicate effectively with educational staff and healthcare professionals
