Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a multiple disability classroom setting for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, youll provide essential care, advocacy, and expertise while working full-time within an engaging elementary school environment near New Holland, PA.
This role is ideal for an LPN who is attentive, proactive, and confident working independently. Youll play a critical part in the daily care of studentsmany with complex needsensuring health and safety while updating individualized care plans. Your ability to remain focused, manage time efficiently, and offer assistance wherever needed will be highly valued in this supportive, inclusive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Pennsylvania LPN license required
- Experience with pediatric populations, especially in schools or similar settings, strongly preferred
- Skilled in G-tube care, seizure protocols, and general nursing duties
- Professional, reliable, and able to take initiative without close supervision
- Must maintain focus and professionalism throughout the day (personal phone use is restricted)
- Strong communicator, collaborative, and compassionate
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a small classroom of elementary students with multiple disabilities
- Implement and update individualized health care plans in collaboration with educators and therapists
- Respond promptly to student health needs, including G-tube feeding and seizure management
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with classroom staff and families as needed
- Remain proactive and available to assist throughout the school day
