What were looking for:
- Active Washington State LPN license, or intent to obtain prior to start date
- Willingness to be fingerprinted through OSPI, or already possessing OSPI clearance
- Previous experience in schools, pediatrics, or 1:1 care is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Reliability, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to the school environment
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a designated student during school hours
- Support the student from arrival to dismissal, ensuring safety and health needs are met
- Monitor and document health status, medications, and interventions
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
- Respond promptly to emergencies, administering necessary interventions or first aid
- Promote a positive and safe learning atmosphere
